Tattoo Removal w- Medlite C6 Qswitched ND: YAG

The number of people getting tattoos has surged over the last decade and so has the number of people that want to change or remove tattoos.

The MedLite C6 is an affordable and highly effective option from both the patient and provider perspective. It works on all skin types, and ink colors.

The Medlite C6 laser provides maximum tattoo removal results without harming or scarring the surrounding skin.

Earlier attempts at developing a means to shed unwanted body ink included dermabrasion, salt abrasion and Argon or CO2 lasers, which simply replaced the tattoos with unsightly scars.

Q-switched lasers allow for the removal of most tattoo inks with a very low risk of scarring. The Medlite C6 Q-Switched Nd:YAG laser is the laser of choice in its class to significantly lighten or remove even dark or color-saturated ink.

The Medlite C6 performs its disappearing act on any type of tattoo, whether professionally rendered or homemade, traumatic or surgical. The number of treatments depends upon the volume and type of ink used, and the depth of the ink under the skin’s surface.

The C6 Medlite laser works best on dissolving dark (blue, black and red) ink; oranges and purples usually fade well, while green and yellow inks are the most difficult to remove and may need additional treatments. It is important to note that despite the voluminous number of ink types used in body art worldwide, most people experience a greater than 95 percent fading rate with the Medlite C6 laser, making complete tattoo removable very achievable.

The Medlite C6 laser emits light in very short pulses, creating a sensation that can be compared to the snap of a small rubber band against the skin. Most patients do not require anesthesia during treatment, although the size and location of the tattoo may be highly sensitive and warrant a local anesthesia to minimize any discomfort.
